Behind every bag of Monturri is a family that's been working this land for three generations. What started as a small plot on the eastern slopes of Volcán Turrialba has become a labour of love reaching coffee lovers across Canada.
We hand-pick every cherry during harvest season (November to March). No machines, no rushing. We wash them, sun-dry them on raised beds, sort and grade by hand, and oversee the roasting personally.
Our farm sits at 1,400 metres in one of Costa Rica's eight coffee-growing regions. The volcanic soil, the cloud cover, the mountain air — it all goes into the cup.
We created Monturri to share what we've always known: great coffee begins with great land, honest work, and respect for the craft. We're not the biggest. We're not the cheapest. But we believe we offer something rare — a coffee with a story you can taste.
Welcome to the family. Pura vida.
